For CLAY or MINERAL masks: Use a non-metal bowl and spoon (clay, ceramic, glass, or wood). Place a small amount of mineral or clay into a small bowl. Add a little warm water (structured or energized water is preferred) and a drop of essential oil (if you like). Mix until the consistency of mustard. If it is too runny, add more mineral or clay--whichever you are using. If it is too thick, add more water. It is ok, and sometimes preferred, to let the mixture sit for 20 minutes or longer to "set". The mixture will be lumpy and slightly grainy in texture.
After the mask has dried (around 20 minutes), re-moisturize your face with a wash cloth or warm water and then rinse off. Use a circular motion to exfoliate with the mineral as you rinse.
Follow with a clarifying mist and moisturize with an organic body butter or cream.
